Most people realize these days that a good website is only part of what they need to grow their business. Most companies who are looking for a company or organization like yours will use one of the major Search Engines: Google, Yahoo, AOL Search, or MSN's Live Search. There are a variety of other search engines, but the great majority of searches are done through these top four. Generally people review search results and decide which websites to visit. They may visit only the first few or they may spend the time to view several sites they find in the first few pages of results. So, if your site is not found among the top results, you probably won't have a chance for that business. That's why Search Engine Marketing and Optimization are important.

Optimizing Your Site for Top Search Engine Results

So just what do we do? Quite a lot, it turns out, and the first areas we concentrate on (as a minimum) are:

  1. We research the best and most important "keywords" and keyword phrases that people use to search for a site like yours. This is different for each industry, profession, or market, and involves accessing one or more databases to determine which phrases are used most frequently and most appropriately for a website such as yours. In some cases, such as for very large markets with large numbers of competing sites, we may target less common but more strategic search terms for better overall results.

  2. We prioritize these keywords and phrases so that your site can be positioned for the best possible search engine results.

  3. We optimize your home page (and/or other pages in your site) in a variety of ways, using the prioritized keywords list for your site. This includes proper preparation of "meta tags" and other html as well as the specific content for your site.

  4. Once all of the above is complete we will submit your site to the major search engines and directories.

As a result, we'll recommend an approach that fits your site and your priorities.
